Use the TruckIT Mobile App as a Contractor

Learn how contractors can use the TruckIT mobile app to view projects, monitor jobs, review tickets, dispatch payloads, and contact support.

Use this article to understand the main sections of the TruckIT mobile app for contractors.

The TruckIT mobile app helps contractors review daily job activity, manage projects, monitor tickets, view job progress, dispatch payloads, and contact TruckIT Support from the field.

When you log in, you will see four main sections at the bottom of the app:

  • Dashboard
  • Projects
  • My Jobs
  • Support

Before you begin

Make sure you have:

  • Downloaded the TruckIT mobile app
  • Logged in with your TruckIT username and password
  • Been given the correct contractor access
  • Access to the projects or jobs you need to review

If you cannot see the sections described in this article, contact your company administrator or TruckIT Support.

Use the Dashboard

The Dashboard gives you a quick overview of your daily activity.

From the Dashboard, you can review:

  • Weather forecast
  • Active jobs
  • Pending jobs
  • Ticket totals for the day
  • Ticket type breakdowns, such as hourly, per ton, per load, and other units of measure

Use the Dashboard at the start of the day to understand what is active, what is pending, and how ticket activity is tracking.

Use Projects

The Projects section lets you view and manage project information from the mobile app.

From Projects, you can:

  • View all projects
  • Filter projects by Active, Closed, or Archived
  • Create a new project
  • Open a project to view details
  • Review payloads on a project
  • Add a new payload
  • Dispatch from an existing project payload

Use this section when you need to manage project setup or dispatch work from a project while using the mobile app.

When you open a project, review the project details before taking action.

You may be able to see:

  • Project information
  • Existing payloads
  • Pickup and drop-off details
  • Material or payload information
  • Dispatch options

If a payload already exists, you can dispatch from that payload. If the payload does not exist yet, add a new payload before dispatching.

The My Jobs section helps you review job activity.

From My Jobs, you can view:

  • Today’s jobs
  • Upcoming jobs
  • Jobs that need trucks
  • Completed jobs
  • Job board activity

Open a job to see more details about the work.

Review job details

When you open a job, you can review important information such as:

  • Site information
  • Trucks assigned to the job
  • Job progress throughout the day
  • Ticket activity
  • Job status
  • Related job details

Use this section to understand what is happening on a job and whether it needs attention.

From a job, tap View Tickets to see the individual tickets connected to that job.

Use ticket review to check:

  • Load or material activity
  • Whether tickets appear to be missing or incomplete

Reviewing tickets from the mobile app can help contractors stay updated without needing to open the web portal.
