Add a Payload
1. Open the project and click Add Payload. From the TruckIT Web Portal, open the project and click Add Payload in the upper-right corner.
2. Select truck types. Choose one truck type, several, or Select All.
3. Choose the pickup and drop-off sites. Pick from your existing sites, or enter an address manually if it isn’t listed yet.
4. Select the material. Open the Payload dropdown and choose the material — or use Add Payload to create a custom one if it’s not listed.
5. Set the unit of measure. Choose how the job will be priced — hourly, per ton, cubic yard, load, or cubic meter.
6. Save. Review the details and click Save. The payload is ready to use the next time you dispatch this job.
Adding Optional Charges
If this job needs a fuel surcharge, tax, or another added charge, click Add Fields before saving.
Tip: set these up before the job’s first dispatch — adding a charge after tickets have already started won’t apply it to tickets that were generated earlier.
What Happens Next
With the payload saved, it’s ready to use the next time you dispatch this job — drivers will see the correct material and sites, and any additional charges are automatically applied to their tickets.
