Create Sites in the TruckIT Portal

Open the Sites Tab

1. Go to Sites. Open Projects and Sites, then click the Sites tab.

2. Click Add Site. A new site form opens on the right, next to the map.

Enter the Site Details

1. Name the site. Click the Name field and enter a name your team and drivers will recognize.

2. Search for the address. Click the Address field, search for the site’s street address, and select it. The city, postal code, and coordinates fill in automatically.

3. Select the site type. Click Site Type and choose the type that matches how the location is used, such as Job, Quarry, Plant, Dump, Mill, Yard, or Pit.

4. Add notes (optional). Include anything drivers should know, like gate or scale house instructions.

Draw the Site Zone

1. Click Draw Zone. In the Zone section, click Draw Zone to outline the site’s boundary on the map.

2. Outline the area. Click points on the map around the work area, then click the first point again to close the shape.

3. Click Save Zone. The zone appears on the map and in the site’s Zone list.

Note: draw the zone around the real work area, not just the address point, so the zone matches where trucks actually go.

Save the Site

Once you’ve added all the details, click Save at the top of the form. Your new site appears in the Sites list and is ready to use on your projects.

Add a Radius Zone

After the site is saved, you can add more zones, such as a circle around the site pin.

1. Click Add by Radius. You’ll find it in the Zone section, next to Draw Zone.

2. Name it and set the radius. Enter a zone name and the radius, then click Add Zone.

Edit, Tag, or Archive a Site

Select a site from the list, then use the icons at the top-right of its details:

Edit to change the site’s details.

Tags to label the site.

Archive to retire a site you no longer use.

Tip: to change or remove a zone, click the pencil (edit) or bin (delete) icon next to it in the Zone list.
