Troubleshoot Common TruckIT Portal Issues

Try these basic browser steps if the TruckIT Portal is not loading, updating, or working as expected.

TruckIT · Support & Troubleshooting TruckIT
How to Tell if There’s a Bug
Before troubleshooting, it helps to confirm whether you’re dealing with an actual bug or just an outdated version of the portal loaded in your browser. Open an incognito / private browsing window and load portal.truckit.com there.
• Issue doesn’t show up in incognito? Your portal version is outdated — follow the troubleshooting steps below.
• Issue still shows up in incognito? It’s likely a genuine bug — skip ahead to When to Contact Support.
Reset Your Session
1. Log out. Go to portal.truckit.com and sign out of your account. Keep the browser open for the next step — this ensures a fresh session the next time you log in.
2. Clear cache & cookies. Open your browser’s three-dot menu > History > Clear browsing data. Set the time range to All time, check both Cache and Cookies, then click Clear data. Log back in to the portal once this finishes.
Note: clearing cookies signs you out of other websites too, not just the TruckIT Portal. If you’re unsure whether that’s okay on your device, check with your internal IT team first.
Hard Refresh Your Browser
3. Force a fresh reload. A hard refresh forces your browser to download the latest version of the portal instead of loading a cached copy. Use the shortcut for your device:
• Windows (Chrome, Edge, or Firefox): Ctrl+Shift+R or Ctrl+F5
• Mac (Chrome or Firefox): Cmd+Shift+R
• Mac (Safari): Cmd+Option+R
Tip: if you’re seeing an error message, take a screenshot before you hard refresh — it disappears once the page reloads, and support will need it to diagnose the issue.
Retry the Action
4. Try again. Return to the portal, log back in, navigate to the page or feature that was giving you trouble, and attempt the action again.
When to Contact Support
If the issue is still happening after completing every step above, reach out to TruckIT Support and include:
• Your name and company
• The page or feature affected
• What you were trying to do
• What you expected to happen vs. what actually happened
• Your browser and device type
• A screenshot or screen recording, if you have one
• The exact text of any error message
