How to Change or Reset Your Password in the TruckIT Portal

Learn how to reset a forgotten password or update a team member’s password from the TruckIT Web Portal.

Use this article if you need to reset a forgotten password or update a password for a team member in the TruckIT Web Portal.

There are two common ways to manage passwords:

  1. Reset a forgotten password from the TruckIT login page.
  2. Change a team member’s password from the My Team section of the Web Portal.

Before you begin

Make sure you have access to the TruckIT Web Portal.

Go to: portal.truckit.com

If you are changing a password for another user, you may need account permissions that allow you to manage team members.

Reset a forgotten password

Use this option if you cannot log in because you forgot your password.

  1. Go to portal.truckit.com.
  2. Click Forgot Password.
  3. Follow the instructions sent to your email.
  4. Create a new password.
  5. Return to the TruckIT Portal and log in with your new password.

Tip

Make sure you use the same email address associated with your TruckIT account.

Change a team member’s password in the Web Portal

Use this option if you are already logged in and need to update the password for a user on your team.

  1. Log in to portal.truckit.com.
  2. Go to My Company.
  3. Select My Team.
  4. Find the team member whose password needs to be changed.
  5. Click the three dots to the right of their name.
  6. Select Edit.
  7. In the user account pop-up, update the password.
  8. Save your changes.

The team member can now use the updated password to log in to the TruckIT Portal.

What to do if the user still cannot log in

If the user is still having trouble after the password is reset or changed, check the following:

  • Confirm they are using the correct email address.
  • Confirm they are logging in at portal.truckit.com.
  • Make sure there are no extra spaces before or after the email address or password.
  • Ask the user to try again in a new browser window.
  • Contact TruckIT Support if the issue continues.
