Get Started with the TruckIT Mobile App
Learn how to download the TruckIT Mobile app, log in, choose your user type, and link to a truck.
Use this article to get started with the TruckIT Mobile app.
The TruckIT Mobile app helps drivers and contractors view jobs, manage job activity, review tickets, receive updates, and communicate with their team from the field.
When you first log in, you will use the username and password provided by your company admin, prime hauler, or broker. Then you will choose whether to log in as a Contractor or Driver.
Drivers will also be prompted to link to their truck for the day.
Before you begin
Make sure you have:
- Downloaded the TruckIT Mobile app
- Your TruckIT username
- Your TruckIT password
- The correct login type: Contractor or Driver
- The truck you will be using for the day, if you are a driver
Your username and password are created in the TruckIT Portal by your company admin or by your prime hauler/broker.
Download the TruckIT Mobile app
- Open the app store on your mobile device. (or click this link)
- Search for TruckIT Mobile.
- Download the app.
- Open the app after it finishes installing.
Log in to the mobile app
- Open the TruckIT Mobile app.
- Enter your assigned username.
- Enter your assigned password.
- Tap Log In.
Use the username and password assigned to you by your company admin, prime hauler, or broker.
Choose your login type
After logging in, choose the login type that matches your role.
You may see options such as:
- Contractor
- Driver
Choose Contractor if you are using the app to manage or review projects, jobs, payloads, tickets, or contractor workflows.
Choose Driver if you are using the app to view assigned jobs, run jobs, complete pickups and drop-offs, submit ticket information, or manage your driver workflow.
Link to your truck as a driver
If you log in as a Driver, TruckIT will prompt you to link to your truck for the day.
- Choose your truck from the fleet list.
- Confirm the truck is correct.
- Continue into the app.
Make sure you select the truck you are actually using that day. This helps your dispatcher, job records, ticket activity, and truck assignments stay accurate.
Change your linked truck
You can change trucks later if needed.
- Tap the profile icon in the top-right corner of the mobile app.
- Select Link Management.
- Unlink the current truck.
- Follow the prompt to link to a new truck.
Only change your linked truck if you are using a different truck than the one currently connected to your account.
What to do after logging in
After you are logged in and linked to the correct truck, use the app based on your role.
Drivers commonly use the app to:
- View jobs in My Jobs
- Start jobs
- Complete pickups
- Complete drop-offs
- Submit ticket information
- Take ticket photos, if required
- Review notifications
- Contact support
Contractors commonly use the app to:
- View the Dashboard
- Review active and pending jobs
- Open projects
- Review payloads
- Dispatch from project payloads
- View job details
- Review tickets
- Contact support
Best practices
Use the mobile app consistently so your job, truck, and ticket information stays accurate.
Recommended best practices:
- Log in with your own username and password.
- Choose the correct login type.
- Drivers should confirm the correct truck before starting work.
- Change your linked truck if you switch trucks during the day.
- Check My Jobs before starting work.
- Review job details before driving to the pickup site.
- Keep app notifications turned on so you do not miss job updates.
- Contact your dispatcher or company admin if your login, truck, or jobs do not look correct.
Troubleshooting
I do not have a username or password
Contact your company admin, prime hauler, or broker. Your login must be created before you can access the mobile app.
I cannot log in
Check that your username and password are entered correctly. If you still cannot log in, contact your company admin or use the password reset process if available.
I do not know whether to choose Contractor or Driver
Choose the role that matches how you use TruckIT. Drivers use the app to run assigned jobs. Contractors use the app to view or manage project, job, payload, and ticket activity.
I do not see my truck in the fleet list
Contact your dispatcher or company admin. The truck may need to be added, linked, or made available in TruckIT.
I linked to the wrong truck
Tap the profile icon, open Link Management, unlink the current truck, and link to the correct truck.
I do not see any jobs
Make sure you are logged in with the correct role and linked to the correct truck. If no jobs appear, contact your dispatcher.
