What’s New

Dispatch & TruckIT Portal

  • Allowing different types of Customers under the same Project
    What it is:
You can now assign multiple customer types—Customer, Grant Access, and Restricted Customer—to a single project. This adds flexibility to how projects are structured and managed, especially when working with diverse client relationships or access needs.
Why you’ll care: This update simplifies project setup and improves collaboration by allowing different customer roles to coexist within the same project.

  • Deletion of ‘Not Started’ Closed Jobs (Feature)
    What it is:
it allows the deletion of closed jobs that were not started by any driver. These jobs will no longer appear under ‘My Jobs’ in the driver’s mobile app, helping keep their view clean and relevant.
Why you’ll care: This improves job management by removing clutter from the driver’s interface. It ensures that only active or relevant jobs remain visible, reducing confusion and streamlining operations.

  • Sub-Hauler Rate Visibility and Setup
What it is: When a sub-hauler assigns trucks to a job, the main company can set the sub-hauler rate, but the sub-hauler is responsible for setting their own driver's rate from within their account. Only sub-haulers can view their own sub-driver rates, ensuring privacy and control over their internal pricing.
Why you’ll care: This update reinforces clear boundaries between company and sub-hauler responsibilities. It also prevents unintended visibility of sensitive rate data across accounts.

  • Enhanced Ticket Search by Customer Type
What it is: two new search filters have been introduced by customer type, 'Restricted Customer' and 'Granted Access' Customer.
Why you'll care: This enhancement gives dispatchers and admins more control and flexibility when managing tickets.

Suggested action: Review your active projects and assign multiple customer types where collaboration or access control is needed. Clean up your job list by deleting any closed jobs that were never started—this keeps your drivers’ mobile views focused and efficient. Ensure sub-haulers are informed about the updated rate setup process. Encourage them to log into their accounts to define driver rates and maintain pricing privacy.

Mobile Apps (Driver, Contractor, Inspector)

  • Payload creation/editing with Combined UoMs (Feature)
What it is: Previously, payloads with combined Units of Measure (UoMs) could only be created via the Web Portal. With this update, dispatchers can now create and edit payloads with combined UoMs directly from the mobile app.
Why it helps: Users no longer need to switch to the portal for payload creation, saving time and improving workflow efficiency.

Action: Ask drivers and contractors to update to the latest TruckIT App to see these changes.

Quality-of-Life Fixes

  • Driver Rate Visibility Issue on the Driver Mobile App
Previously, when the "Show Pricing to Driver" toggle was enabled and the driver rate field was left empty, drivers could see the customer rate displayed on job tiles.
Now, when the job flow involves an own driver for an own job, and the ‘Driver Rate’ is empty, no rate will be shown to the driver. This fix ensures that drivers only see information that is explicitly intended for them, protects sensitive pricing data, and maintains clarity in driver communications.

  • Custom Field Display Issue in AirTicket Flow (Mobile App - Feature)
When a driver views AirTicket data that includes Custom Fields (CFs) and then clicks the back button, those CFs are not retained when they return to the job view. This results in missing data that was previously visible.
CFs often contain critical information. Ensuring they remain visible throughout Mobile App navigation helps prevent confusion, supports accurate job execution, and maintains a consistent user experience.
