What’s New

Dispatch & TruckIT Portal

  • New Payload auto‑archiving behavior

What it is: We’ve added an automatic archiving process once a payload reaches its expiration date.

Why you’ll care: You get more accurate timelines, cleaner project management, and fewer outdated payloads lingering in your workflow. Automatic archiving keeps everything organized without extra manual effort.

  • Notification when a Payload is archived after its expiration date

What it is: We’ve introduced a new automatic notification that alerts the creator of a payload when that payload is archived after reaching its expiration date.

Why you’ll care: We’ve introduced a new automatic notification that alerts the creator of a payload when that payload is archived after reaching its expiration date. It’s an improvement that helps you stay organized and maintain full visibility over your work.

  • New & Improved file uploading process

What it is: An upgrade to the file uploading system, featuring enhanced validation and status checks, has been introduced with this update.

Why you’ll care: This means fewer broken images and more reliable tic-pic reports. Enjoy a smoother, clearer process that enhances your everyday workflow!

  • Cancel PickUp notification

What it is: All web portal users (dispatchers/admins) will receive a notification once a pickup is canceled.

Why you’ll care: Whenever a driver cancels a pickup, you’ll stay informed, ensuring full visibility into changes happening in the field.

  • Selective PoCs allowed for regular Customers under projects

What it is: Project owners can now choose exactly which Points of Contact to assign to a project, instead of having all the regular customers’ PoCs automatically attached. This gives teams more control when multiple PoCs exist under the regular Customer.

Why you’ll care: It keeps communication focused, avoids unnecessary notifications, and ensures only the right people are included on each project.

Suggested action: Take a few minutes to review these enhancements and identify which ones best support your workflow, so you can start benefiting from them immediately.

Mobile Apps (Driver, Contractor, Inspector)

  • Cancel Pickup for Open Tickets

What it is: Drivers can now cancel after tapping Pickup Complete. For hourly jobs, the sub‑ticket is deleted while recorded time remains. For load‑per‑day jobs, only the last load is canceled, and the driver is routed back to the PickUp Complete screen.

Why you’ll care: Fewer mistakes to clean up and clearer records. Now, you can undo the most recent pickup without losing valid time or disrupting the rest of the ticket.

  • Clear validation for small or corrupted TicPic uploads

What it is: The mobile app now blocks extremely small or corrupted images and clearly informs the user if the upload fails. Tickets will no longer save without warning when an invalid photo is selected.

Why you’ll care: Drivers now get instant and clear feedback whenever a photo can’t be used. This prevents missing images and avoids broken TicPics.

Suggested action: Ask drivers and contractors to update to the latest TruckIT app to see these changes.

Quality-of-Life Fixes

  • TicPic report & improved image handling

The report limit has also been expanded to support up to 4,000 images, and the system now filters out extremely small or corrupted files so they don’t appear as blank pages.

  • Improved “Optimal Trucks” calculation

An update to the Optimal Trucks tool now allows users to enter the truck capacity themselves instead of relying on a fixed default. The calculation has also been refined to exclude the final return route, making estimates more realistic and tailored to each job.

  • Clearer error message for Undelivered Driver Messages

When sending a push notification from “My Job,” senders will now see exactly which drivers didn’t receive the message—rather than a generic error. If a driver is logged out or inactive, their name will be listed so the sender knows who didn’t get the notification.

  • Restricted Customers now see pricing only when enabled

We fixed an issue where restricted customers couldn’t see customer pricing, even when their settings allowed it. Pricing now displays correctly whenever the company has enabled this option.

  • Payload with Equipment now saving rates correctly

We fixed an issue where pricings weren’t being saved when creating an equipment payload, even after all required rate fields were filled out. Pricings now save reliably every time.

  • Improved visibility for Project References

Project owners now manage their own project number, while customers can add their own external reference. Both parties can view each other’s references without editing the other’s.

  • Driver Rate hidden for Grant Access Jobs

We fixed an issue where GA customers could see the Driver Rate field on Job Board items. That field is now hidden for all GA jobs.

  • UoM editing not allowed when jobs already exist

The Unit of Measure on a project payload could still be changed even after jobs were created. The system now correctly prevents edits once any job exists, matching the expected behavior.
