Reject a TicPic and Request a New Ticket Photo in the TruckIT Portal

Learn how to reject an incorrect or unreadable TicPic so the driver can submit a new ticket photo.

Use this article to reject a TicPic when a ticket photo is incorrect, unreadable, missing required information, or needs to be retaken.

Rejecting a TicPic marks the ticket photo as rejected and notifies the driver that a new TicPic is needed.

Before you begin

Make sure you are logged in to the TruckIT Web Portal.

You may need permission to view jobs and review tickets. If you do not see Jobs, Tickets, or Reject TicPic, contact your company administrator or TruckIT Support.

Before rejecting a TicPic, confirm:

  • You are reviewing the correct job
  • You are reviewing the correct ticket
  • The TicPic truly needs to be replaced
  • The driver should submit a new ticket photo

When to reject a TicPic

Reject a TicPic when the ticket photo cannot be used for review, reconciliation, billing, or recordkeeping.

Common reasons include:

  • The image is blurry
  • The ticket is cut off
  • The ticket number is not visible
  • The weight or quantity is not visible
  • The wrong ticket was uploaded
  • The photo is too dark or unclear
  • The driver uploaded the same photo by mistake
  • Required ticket details are missing

Only reject a TicPic when the driver needs to submit a new photo.

Best practices for reviewing TicPics

Review TicPics before tickets are used for billing, reconciliation, or reporting.

Recommended best practices:

  • Reject only the TicPics that need to be retaken.
  • Review the ticket number, weight, quantity, date, and material before approving or using the ticket.
  • Check whether the photo is clear enough for back-office review.
  • Use consistent standards across your team.
  • Train drivers on how to take clear ticket photos.
  • Follow up quickly so drivers can submit a new photo while the job is still fresh.
  • Review rejected TicPics before exporting ticket data for billing.

Tips for drivers taking a new TicPic

When asking a driver to resubmit a TicPic, remind them to:

  • Place the full ticket inside the photo frame
  • Make sure the ticket number is visible
  • Make sure the weight or quantity is visible
  • Avoid shadows or glare
  • Keep the camera steady
  • Retake the photo if it looks blurry
  • Confirm the correct ticket is being photographed

This helps reduce repeat rejections and keeps ticket records cleaner.

Troubleshooting

I do not see the Reject TicPic button

Your user role may not have permission to reject TicPics, or the ticket may not have a TicPic available to review. Contact your company administrator or TruckIT Support.

I rejected the wrong TicPic

Ask the driver to submit a new TicPic for that ticket. If additional correction is needed, contact your company administrator or TruckIT Support.

The driver did not receive the notification

Confirm the TicPic was rejected and that the ticket shows the TicPics Rejected tag. Also confirm the driver is active and associated with the ticket.

The driver cannot find the ticket in the mobile app

Ask the driver to check My Tickets in the TruckIT mobile app. If the ticket does not appear, confirm that the correct driver and ticket are associated with the job.

The new TicPic is still unreadable

Reject the TicPic again and ask the driver to retake the photo using the tips above.
