Use this article to fill an assigned job from the TruckIT mobile app as a contractor.
Contractors can use the Job Board to view jobs assigned to them, select trucks from their fleet, and fill the job directly from the mobile app. After the job is filled, you can switch back to driver mode and start the job.
Before you begin
Make sure you have:
- Logged in to the TruckIT mobile app
- Access to Login as a Contractor
- A job assigned to you
- Trucks available in your fleet
- Permission to fill jobs from the mobile app
- The correct truck or trucks ready to assign
If you do not see the job, the Fill button, or your fleet trucks, contact your dispatcher, company administrator, or TruckIT Support.
Log in as a contractor
1. Open the TruckIT mobile app.5. Tap Login as a Contractor.
Open the Job Board
1. Go to the My Jobs tab.
2. Tap Today’s Jobs to open the dropdown menu.
3. Select Job Board.
Fill the job
1. Find the job you need to fill.
3. Tap Trucks From Fleet.
4. Select the trucks needed for the job.
9. Tap Next to complete the assignment.
The selected trucks are now assigned to fill the job.
Return to driver mode
After filling the job, switch back to the driver app so you can start the job.
1. Tap the profile icon again.
2. Tap Login as Driver.
When to use this workflow
Use this workflow when you are acting as a contractor and need to assign trucks from your fleet to a job that has been assigned to you.
This is helpful when:
- A job appears on your Job Board
- You need to select fleet trucks for the job
- You are filling the job before starting work as a driver
- You manage both contractor and driver actions from the mobile app

Before tapping Next, review the truck selection carefully.
Recommended best practices:
- Confirm you are logged in as a contractor before filling the job.
- Use Job Board to find assigned jobs.
- Select only the trucks that should run the job.
- Confirm the selected trucks are available.
- Switch back to Login as Driver after filling the job.
- Review the job details before starting work as a driver.
- Contact dispatch if the job or truck list does not look correct.
Troubleshooting
I do not see Login as a Contractor
Your account may not have contractor access. Contact your company administrator or TruckIT Support.
I do not see the job on the Job Board
Confirm the job has been assigned to you. Also check that you are logged in as a contractor and viewing the correct job list.
I do not see the Fill button
The job may not be available to fill, or your account may not have permission to fill jobs from the mobile app. Contact your dispatcher or administrator.
I do not see Trucks From Fleet
Your account may not have fleet trucks available, or your user role may not have access to assign fleet trucks.
I selected the wrong truck
If you have not completed the workflow, go back and update the truck selection before tapping Next. If the job has already been filled, contact your dispatcher or company administrator.
I forgot to switch back to Driver mode
Tap the profile icon and select Login as Driver before starting the job.
