Use this article to fill a job from the TruckIT mobile app by selecting trucks from your own fleet and assigning trucks from your subhaulers.

This workflow is used when a contractor needs to add trucks to a job from the Job Board. You can assign your own fleet trucks first, then choose trucks from preferred subhaulers before sending the job to each selected driver.

Before you begin

Make sure you have:

  • Logged in to the TruckIT mobile app
  • Contractor access
  • A job available on your Job Board
  • Trucks available in your fleet
  • Subhaulers already added to your preferred list
  • Drivers linked to the correct trucks

TruckIT recommends filtering the hauler or subhauler list by Preferred List so you only see the subhaulers or contractors you added. TruckIT also recommends reminding drivers to link themselves to the correct truck so they can view assigned jobs.

Log in as a contractor

1. Open the TruckIT mobile app.

2. Log in with your username and password.

3. Select Login as a Contractor.

You must be in contractor mode to fill a job from the mobile app.

Open the Job Board

1. Go to My Jobs.

2. Tap Today’s Jobs to open the dropdown menu.

3. Select Job Board.

The Job Board is where you can view jobs available for you to fill.

 Start filling the job

1. Find the job you want to fill.

2. Tap Fill.

This opens the workflow where you can add your trucks and subhauler trucks to the job.

Add trucks from your fleet

2. Review your available trucks.

3. Select the trucks you need for the job.

4. Tap Continue.

5. Tap Next to continue to the subhauler list.

Use this step when you want to assign trucks from your own fleet before adding subhauler trucks.

Select subhaulers

1. Tap Select Subhaulers.

3. Select the trucks you need from that subhauler.

If you need trucks from more than one subhauler, repeat the subhauler selection process.

Continue selecting subhaulers and trucks until all needed trucks have been added to the job.

Finish assigning the job

1. Review all trucks added to the job.

2. Confirm that your fleet trucks and subhauler trucks are correct.

3. Tap Continue.

4. Tap Next.

After you tap Next, the job is assigned to each selected truck, and each driver will be able to see the job.

Review before tapping Next

Before completing the assignment, confirm:

  • The correct job is selected
  • Your fleet trucks are correct
  • The subhaulers are filtered by Preferred List
  • The correct subhauler trucks are selected
  • Each driver is linked to the correct truck
  • You have added all trucks needed for the job

  • Confirm drivers are linked to the correct trucks.
  • Review the full assignment before tapping Next.
